Performed analysis and gave recommendations to Valorem, the Santo Domingo Group’s Colombian Holding, which has significant majority and minority positions throughout a wide range of industries, including Media, Telecommunications, Entertainment, Retail, Agro-industrial, Internet Related Services, Forestry, and Transport and Logistics.  Was a member of Valorem’s Auditing Committee as well.  Advisory for over $2.0 billion.

Banco BHD


Performed financial and strategic advisory to BHD in the Dominican Republic in connection with increasing shareholder value by implementing strategies including M&A transactions; advisory for over $1.8 billion.

Bavaria – AmBev

Was a member of the team that advised The Santo Domingo Group’s beer operation, Bavaria, in connection with the interest of the Brazilian Ambev (before its merger with Interbrew and Anheuser Busch) of acquiring it; for over $1.8 billion.

Fierro Group


Advised in connection with the sale of a minority stake in a multibillion dollar family owned economic group with positions throughout Latin America, the US, Spain and Thailand with operations in banking and manufacturing for a total valuation of over $1.5 billion.

Celumovil – Bellsouth

Was a member of the team that advised The Santo Domingo Group in connection with its divestiture of its Colombian wireless telecom operator Celumovil to BellSouth for over US$1.3 billion.

Corona – Vencerámica


Was the most senior banker that lead the team that explored a potential joint venture between Corona and Cisa-Vencerámica; for over $1.0 billion.

Cemex – Cementos Diamante – Cementos Samper


Participated in the team that advised the leading Mexican cement producer, Cemex (now the second largest cement producer in the world), in connection with its acquisition of both Cementos Diamante and Cementos Samper; for over US$800 million.
